One of the big advantages of Online Registration for music or dance studios is that it lets the customer decide when they want to sign up.

Sometimes the impulse to enroll comes from a phone call with a friend, an email or your website, and if you don't have a way for the customer to enroll right then and there, you risk losing the registration.

I thought it would be interesting to see how the facts back this up, so I did a little analysis of available data and found some interesting data on enrollment by day of the week across our large (thousands of enrollments) database.

As a big believer in online registration, I was frankly a bit disappointed that the weekend only accounted for 17% of enrollments. I had anticipated that music and dance studios who depend on drop-in and phone calls for enrollment would be at a big disadvantage against studio with online enrollment available 7 days a week.

Still, 17% is 17%, and I figure if you could bump up enrollments by even half that amount it would be well worth the effort of implementing a system with online registration features.

And then it hit me... It's probably hit you too by now. The benefit of online registration is not so much about the days that you cover versus your phone, it's about the hours. It's a time of day thing.

So back to the data and if you want to subscribe to this blog, I'll try and have that story for you next week.
